I just finished upgrading the WordPress distributions on several sites that I run, including my own personal site - Jonathan Coffman - to fix the urgent security hole in the XML-RPC file in WordPress 2.3.2.
This has been resolved and downtime was kept to a maximum of 5 minutes per site. Sorry for the delay.

Recent Maintenance
Over the last week we've had a couple short maintenance windows where I'd had to restart some services after deleting and moving files. This doesn't happen very often but I had some client files still on the server that weren't needed any longer.
In addition, there was a recent change in the server backup system so for the time being, automated backups are not happening nightly as usual. If you run a blog on one of my systems please install a backup plugin and have it run until a new solution is rolled out.
In the meantime, take a look at my personal site, I recently redesigned it and now have a lot more content to peruse: Jonathan Coffman - New Media Specialist
I'll update again once we're through this transitionary period and things are more stable.

Why Is this a Blogger Blog?
I have chosen to use Blogger for the server status notification system because hopefully, if any of my servers fail, Blogger will still be operational.
Other FAQs:
Q- How often do your sites go down for maintenance?
A- Hardly ever, I try very hard to not take any site down unless absolutely necessary, sometimes major upgrades are planned however and we have to shutdown a site for a little while. These planned changes will be announced here and to your email account if you're a client of mine.
Q-What kind of uptime do your sites have?
A- Over 99% uptime, in fact none of my sites have had any server-related downtime since October 2007, and that was only for an hour and only some sites went down.
